When not actively working a client project we're putting together new templates and themes. These can be used as models for new or redesigned sites.
Austin Asian American Film Festival
The Austin Asian American Film Festival was relaunching their event after a several year hiatus. Their board contacted us and asked if we would design a new responsive/mobile friendly site. We jumped at the chance and became one of the festival's Partners.
AAAFF wanted a platform where they could solicit films, showcase their festival to potential visitors and act as a hub for staff and volunteers. They also needed to allow for their social media team to update the site's events and blog. We designed a minimalistic theme based on Wordpress and configured it for tablets and mobile users. We also added several applications to streamline their content delivery.
If you're going to be in Austin on November 15, 2014 you may want to attend!
Roxanne McDanel is a professional makeup artist in Austin, TX. She needed an online portfolio to showcase her work and help drive her business.
Roxy wanted a visually attractive site with a "retro" theme. She had some great images released to her by photographers and film makers she's worked with recently. We mirrored the site categories to her different specialties. Roxy wanted to be able to make basic changes herself and she needed the images in both separate and all-in-one galleries. A blog and space for testimonials was added as well. Roxy already had her own domain so we helped her set it up, provided hosting space and configured her domain email. Finally, we added links to her social media as well as added the ability for visitors to easily share her pages and blog posts.
If you're in the greater Austin area and need makeup services, send her a message!
Upstream Learning initially came to us with an established site created using a free web based site creation tool. They found they needed a design refresh and some added functionality.
We designed this custom site for them using their content and our know-how. Upstream Learning provided all of their own content divided into categories. They also provided the images and logo for the site. This site gets a gold star at both business promotion and client education. New parents learn about their excellent school and enrolled parents have access to a library of files, forms, and school information. The site utilizes a content management system which is managed by Zoto Labs.
As great as they are to work with we're just glad Upstream Learning doesn't do web design!
Emily is a wonderfully talented artist near Atlanta, GA. She wanted to reach more people with her work. She let us know she wasn't super tech savvy but wanted to update her own site. She sent us some ideas for text and a huge number of art pictures. She needed a place to showcase her pieces and also let people know which shows she was attending.
We customized her Wordpress configuration so that it sorted her art pieces. We also added an image gallery with some special effects. We used her actual art to complete a custom design. What better way to highlight your talent than to build it right into your website!
Kaitlyn came to us with specifics about how she wanted to present her pageant and bridal services. We discussed color and theme and decided to heavily modify a template she had located.
This services promotion site uses Wordpress as a content management system. Kaitlyn supplied all of her own copy and organization. This really sped up the process. We did a custom banner and licensed images for her. A few days later she was ready to launch!
Hudson Bodyworks needed a complete site package from domain registration and hosting to design and development. And she needed it in a hurry.
We told Miss Hudson to relax. We've got this!
This business promotion site uses Wordpress as a content management system. We helped write the text and acquired a majority of the images for her. She gave us her color preferences and idea for the "feel". We located and adapted a theme that met her needs.
